Andrew is also the member of a wonderful family with his loving wife, Pam, and the proud father of 2 wonderful children, Josie and Adam. They all keep him from becoming immersed in blogging to an unhealthy degree, and remind him of why he cares about what is going on in this world in the first place.

Iranian Sanctions: A Little Bit of History Repeating
It seems that the west cannot learn from its past mistakes. The UN Security Council recently passed new sanctions against Iran for the Persian nation's continued defiance of the international body as it enriches uranium. These sanctions target a familiar demographic in international relations, the general population:
For the first time, the resolution bans trade with Iran in goods which have both civilian and military uses and authorizes inspections of shipments to and from Iran by sea and air that are suspected of carrying banned items.
Now we all know how well that has worked in the past in places like Iraq and Cuba. It creates misery for the people, while keeping enemy regimes firmly entrenched.
